About

Cam Medrano is a sophomore at the University of Missouri, Columbia studying journalism and film studies.
She currently works as a floor director, live-op and digital producer for KOMU-8, mid-Missouri's NBC News affiliate.
Cam is also a part of Quad Air Communications, a production company operating out of the Sacramento and Los Angeles area.During her freshman year in Columbia, she spent her time as a staff reporter for MUTV-23 News.
There, she was responsible for producing video and social media content for Mizzou’s broadcast student media.She previously worked as editor-in-chief for Roseville High School’s student-run journalism program, Eye of the Tiger, where she was responsible for producing a bi-weekly broadcast, monthly newspaper, website and multiple social media pages. She received recognition by the National Scholastic Press Association during her time with Eye of the Tiger, including distinctions for Digital News Story of the Year and Social Media Reporting.Cam was a part of the video production team for her high school's College Signing Day, Senior Awards Night and the Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony.In addition to her scholastic work, Cam was selected to attend the Medill-Northwestern Journalism Institute in 2019, a journalism residency program at Northwestern University. There, she studied various forms of journalism including audio, broadcast and print journalism.She served as a junior editor, contributing writer and photographer for Roseville Life Magazine. During her junior and senior year, she was a youth affiliate for the Friday Night Live, Betting on our Future campaign where she created videos and graphics published under the California Office of Public Health.
